86 Million Steps (World Record by Mr. Arthur Blessitt) goal achieved on 15th October 2024

Good Day…

GOAL ACHIEVED!!!

World Record on maximum numbers of Walking Steps

With all your blessings, moral supports and good wishes and also today’s (15/10/2024) morning walk at Bolpur, Shantiniketan and Sriniketan (Noble Laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s workplace, Biswa Bharathi) – accumulated 21208 Steps, I could accumulate 86,025,188 Steps since 11th May 2013 – 11 years 5 months. The World walking steps Guinness record, 86,000,000 Steps is owned by Mr.  Arthur Blessitt. I am supposed to achieve this feat on 5th January 2026 (my 65th birthday gift to self). I am feeling very fortunate and blessed for this. Daily average walking of 20600 Steps/Day over 4176 Days, since 11th May 2013.In order to achieve that I have taken up another 101 Days [6th Aug to 14th Nov 2024] walking challenge @37000 Steps/Day.

 

To me, Every Step Counts as well as Matters. My Mission/ Vision – 1) Health for All and Priority, 2) Serve Others to Serve Self: Serve with Smile and Love, 3) Be The Truth and Be With The Truth Ever, and so on.

Next Short/Medium/Long term Goals are as follows –

>> 5th – 101 Days Challenge – 15th Nov 2024 – 23rd February 2025 @40,000 Steps/Day

>> East Coast Greenway Trail – Maine to Florida ~ 3000 Miles (4830 KM) by 31/12/2024

>> Medium term target of walking virtually from Cape Town, South Africa to Magadan, Russia – 22387 KM by 10th May 2026, started on 11th May 2022. Revised Target by 31-08-2025

>> To log 10,001 KM (January – December, 12 months period) by 31st December 2024.

>> To walk past 75543 KM Record by Jean Beliveau – Longest Continuous Walk – 4080 Days by 31st May 2025

>> To Achieve 77777 KM by 31st August 2025

>> To achieve > 100 Million Steps [80000 KM] by 31st December 2025

>> Target to Achieve Sachin Tendulkar’s 81742 runs – KMs [Test+ODI+FC+Listed] by 31-01-2026

>> 100,001 KM Walking by 30/12/2030

 

To achieve above, I have to maintain daily average steps of 35000 Steps/Day [ 28.0 KM/Day Equivalent].

I am sharing above as Public Pledge, for self-inspiration / motivation.
